- Saturday 8 June. We will be joined by the Bishop of Durham as far as Thornley village. Walkers can then choose to have an extended lunch in Thornley or carry on to Thornley Gill. We will then return to Thornley to pick up the lunchers, and return to Wolsingham via Bradley Burn and the river Wear. Walk options: miss out the Gill and catch bus at Bradley Burn 6 miles; miss out the Gill 7.5 miles; full walk 8.5 miles.
Most of our walks are easy to moderate. Thursday walks have the gentlest pace. Sunday walks are usually longer and a little more strenuous.
- For gentle, shorter, easy to moderate walks, join us on the last Thursday of the month.
- For more energetic, longer, moderate to hard walks, join us on the second Saturday of the month.
- For longer and slightly faster walks, starting from different points across Weardale and the North Pennines, join us on the final Sunday of the month.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but be aware that we often encounter livestock on our walks. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
