Weardale Tuesday Walkers – this walk is going ahead as planned.
Cowshill and Wellhope Walk

WTW is a small, friendly walking group which meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month for walks in Weardale and its fringes between 4 and 7 miles long and with ascents up to 1000 feet. Everyone is welcome on our walks, local residents and visitors to the dale alike.
Walk Route: From Cowshill this walk climbs up to the edge of and along the fellside then descends to Wellhope. The return runs close to the Killhope Burn which is usually lively at this time of the year. There will be some bog hopping.

Walks cost £1 to cover costs.
Toilets: The nearest public toilets are by the bridge in Wearhead.
Equipment for this walk: Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick, hat, gloves and scarf.
Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome on this walk.
Dogs: Dogs on a short lead are welcome on this walk.
