The Elephant Trees from White Kirkley

Walk Route: Meet at White Kirkley. The walks climbs up the beautiful Fine Gill valley to the Elephant trees, returning along the Bollihope Burn. This walk is full of interest and has some of the best views in Weardale going up and coming down. Not mud free alas.

Walks cost £1 to contribute to local mountain rescue and for computer and admin costs.
Toilets: There are no public toilets in Frosterley.
Equipment for this walk: Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick, hat, scarf and gloves.
Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome on this walk.
Dogs: Dogs on a short lead are welcome on this walk.
