Sinderhope to Holm Linn

Walk Route: This is a low level walk on mostly good paths across attractive countryside. The constant theme of the walk is water – we follow waterside paths, cross and recross various rivers and water courses and finish at the highlight of the walk, the Holm Linn waterfall. Lots of stiles.

Easy/moderate walk 4.25 miles, 650 feet of ascent.

Starting Point: We meet at the High Forest Community Centre in Sinderhope, postcode NE47 9AD, which is 5 miles along the B6295 from Allenheads towards Allendale, after Sparty Lea. The Centre is a large building on the left hand side of the road.

Walks cost £1 to cover costs (mountain rescue contribution, website hosting etc)
Toilets: There are public toilets in Allenheads near the Hemmel Café.
Equipment for this walk: Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick, sun hat and suntan lotion.
Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome on this walk.
Dogs: Dogs on a short lead are permitted on this walk
