Satley and the Pan Valley – THIS WALK IS GOING AHEAD AS PLANNED

Important:  In the event of bad weather walks may be cancelled, changed or rescheduled for later in the same week so consult the weardale.uk website from 8am on the morning of the walk.  (We are often able to update the website to say if the walk is going ahead the evening before).

Walk Route: Most of the walk is through farm land, but with some plantation and natural woodland.  From Glebeside, Satley we shall walk past Broomshields Hall, West Shields and West Carr, returning via Lark Cottage and Back Lane.  (There an alternative return via Pan Lane for those seeing a shorter walk.)

Walks cost £1 to cover mountain rescue contribution

Terrain:  Footpaths, farm tracks and pasture.

Toilets: The nearest toilets are in Wolsingham.

Equipment for this walk:  Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick.

Dogs:  Dogs are permitted on this walk.

Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome
