Killhope to Cowshill Linear Walk

Important:  In the event of bad weather walks may be cancelled or rescheduled for later in the same week so consult the www.weardale.uk website from 8am on the morning of the walk, before travelling.

Walk Route:  From the Killhope Museum car park we mostly follow solid but not stony tracks thus avoiding the worst of the Weardale winter mud.  Good views and interesting sections along the Killhope Burn. No steep gradients.

Start time:   10.00am            Estimated finish time: 12.45pm

Easy walk, 4.25 miles, 300 feet of ascent.

Starting Point: We meet at the Cowshill parking area which is on the opposite of the bridge from the Cowshill Hotel, 50 yards along a rough track.  There will be a short car share to the start of the walk at Killhope.

Walks cost £1 to cover costs.

Toilets:  There are no open public toilets near this walk.

Equipment for this walk:  Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick, hat, and gloves.

Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome on this walk.

Dogs:  Dogs on a short lead are welcome on this walk.
