Walk Route:
Walk is from the Wear Valley Trail, a series of circular walks taking in a section of the Wear Valley Walk.
We park at the Cowshill Inn carpark; heading west along the A689, do not cross the bridge in front of the Cowshill Inn, but turn right and immediately left to park by the Inn.
We then walk back south east along the metalled road parallel to the A689. Turn left along a farm road to Queensbury. Just past the house keep going straight across quite boggy country to the Sedling Vein path. At the top of Middlehope Bank turn right towards Ireshopeburn, but turn left down a track and then across country towards East Blackdene. From a junction follow the road west back to the Ireshopeburn road, turn left and take first right back along the road to Cowshill.
Should be about 3 hours, 5.5 miles, a certain amount of up and down, but not sure about the total elevation.
