Feldon Valley and Harehope Hill
Important: In the event of bad weather walks may be cancelled or rescheduled for later in the same week so consult the www.weardale.uk website from 8am on the morning of the walk, before travelling.
Walk Route: We climb the narrow, pretty Feldon valley with its three waterfalls, walk over Harehope Hill on good tracks with views over the Waskerley reservoirs, then finish by descending a fine peaty valley. The path up the Feldon valley is narrow in places so you will need to be reasonably sure footed. There are also a couple of short, not steep, grassy scrambles.

Starting Point: We meet at the Punch Bowl pub in Edmondbyers, postcode DH8 9NL, for a short car share to the beginning of the walk

Walks cost £1 to cover costs (contribution to mountain rescue, website hosting and maintenance etc).
Toilets: There are public toilets in Edmondbyers next to the village hall.
Equipment for this walk: Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick, hat and gloves.
Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome on this walk.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on this walk
