Baybridge & Riddlehamhope – Weardale Tuesday Walks -this walk is going ahead as planned

Baybridge & Riddlehamhope

The walk starts at the public car park at Baybride; leaving the car park we follow the road towards Newbiggin, passing Newbiggin Hall and on to farm tracks towards Riddlehamhope, where stand the ruins of Riddlehamhope Hall which was once an old Victorian Hunting Lodge which stands at the head of Beldon Burn. Leaving Riddlehamope we climb up over marked footpaths over Newbiggin Fell leading down onto the farm tracks back towards Baybridge.  An easier walk can be had doing a linear walk and heading back on yourself from Riddlehamhope.

Easy/moderate walk mainly following marked paths with some steep areas over fells – around 6 km
