Welcome Page

On this website you will find information on life in the Weardale. Both visitors and locals can access the latest news, details and maps for walks, photos and articles related to life in this corner of the North Pennines.

Walks in Weardale is part of the Weardale Today project. On this part of the site you will find access to a growing number of walks based mainly in the Weardale and surrounding area. Most walk descriptions will be accompanied by photos and maps when possible, and eventually the walks will be downloadable in PDF format. We are currently preparing a short guide to walking in Weardale which will offer advice to help you enjoy your walks safely.

This website along with the Weardale Today project is still under development – but there is already rucksacks full of information here for you to enjoy…
