Join our Farmland Warden for a walk to look at the upland farm operation at the RSPB’s Geltsdale Nature Reserve, where careful grazing management has enhanced breeding habitat for birds such as lapwing, redshank and black grouse.  We will take in hay meadows, rough pasture for cattle, breeding wader birds, with a closer look at upland sheep and lambing.  We will have the opportunity to talk to the tenant farmer and gain the inside view of the day to day running of the farm.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and strong footwear such as Wellingtons or boots.  Dogs welcome on leads.

There is a small charge of £3 for RSPB adult members and £4 for adult non-members.  £1.50 for child members and £2.00 for child non-members.
