Weardale Tuesday Walkers
Towards Chapel Fell

Walk Route: From St John’s Chapel we climb up to Open Access below Chapel Fell then drop down to Daddry Shield to finish along the River Wear. Largely mud free.

Moderate walk, 4.5 miles, ascent: 650 feet.

Starting Point: St John Chapel Market Place opposite the Town Hall.

Toilets: There are public toilets in St John Chapel opposite the Co-op
Equipment for this walk: Walking boots and socks, waterproofs, small snack and drink, walking poles or stick, hat, gloves and scarf.
Accompanied children under 16 and accompanied vulnerable adults are welcome on this walk.
Dogs: Dogs on a short lead are welcome on this walk.
